The day before your treatment, eat lightly and drink plenty of water (minimum of 64oz). Eat an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables and salads.
2. How do I prepare for the day of my Colon Hydrotherapy treatment?
Avoid eating two to three hours prior to your treatment, unless you are a diabetic. If you are a diabetic, please eat lightly, up to thirty minutes prior to your treatment. Feel free to bring any food or snacks that you may want to eat after your treatment.
3. Is a colonic painful?
Colon Hydrotherapy should not be painful. However, an impacted colon can cause discomfort, and some cramping may occur as the colon contracts to expel waste matter. Once the major impaction is removed, many find the session to be pleasant and relaxing.
4. How long does a treatment take?
Most people receive a thorough cleansing, with a session of 45-60 minutes. However, your initial treatment will include a 30-45 minute consultation, that may prolong your initial visit.

Typically, a person with a healthy colon wakes up with the urge to eliminate as well as within forty minutes after every meal. If this does not occur, then you may be behind schedule, which could contribute to bowel dysfunction.
8. Can you lose weight after one treatment?
If your colon is heavily impacted with fecal matter, there is a great chance after a colonic, you may lose a few pounds. However, losing weight is not the purpose of Colon Hydrotherapy.
9. Can I do intestinal cleansing if I am on my menstrual cycle?
Yes. Your body is cleansing naturally, so this would be a great time for intestinal cleansing. Please remember to remove any feminine products before your treatment.
10. Can I eat after my treatment?
Yes. In fact, most people are very hungry after their treatments. Making wise food choices will continue to benefit your colon health.
11. Do I need to be close to a bathroom after my treatment?
No. The advanced treatment offered at Colon Care Center of Oklahoma will sufficiently empty your colon by the time your treatment is over.
12. How many treatments are needed for healthy bowel function?
It depends on the client's overall health and bowel function. A Colon Hydrotherapist will discuss the appropriate regimen and number of treatments recommended for optimum colon health.
